All StoryWalks will take place at the Nolan Creek Hike and Bike Trail. (The StoryWalk program was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library). StoryWalk was created as a way for people of all ages to combine physical activity with books and to help build children’s interest in reading while encouraging healthy activity for all. The StoryWalk Program is a fun, educational, self-guided activity that places pages from Children’s books along a trail. For more details regarding this class, please email us. Thursday's classes will be held indoors at the Harris Community Center. Community Garden ApplicationĬlasses will be held once a week: Thursday from 9:30-10:15 AM. To request a plot, fill out the application and return to the Belton Parks and Recreation office. There are no fees associated with being granted a plot, however, members are required to adhere to Garden Rules, and commit to participating in a Spring and Fall cleanup each year. Membership requests require applicants to show proof of residency within Belton city limits. Plots are available to residents of Belton upon request. The Garden has 39 plots, each 4 ft by 8 ft.
